That seems similar to how it works in Dark Cloud. But then that raises the complaint of fist fights. So I guess I'll still have to come up with a class HP system. I really do like the idea of Whp.
Plus when a weapon "Breaks" I don't mean it breaks into a million pieces and you have to throw it out. I just mean that it will be mostly useless untill you "repair" it (either at the Pkmn center/rest area or with an item). Like, in Dark Cloud, your initial weapon can lose all it's Whp and "break", but it really just loses all it's power. Then once you repair it, it regains it's powers. I really like that idea.
I shall work on a class HP system. It'll probably be something like start with 50 and gain so much based on your class. FC, would you like to be in charge of the Whp? You can determine the amount of Whp a character's weapon will have and all that above guard/attack stuff too. For now since we only have a few chars, just pm the ones (or really just DW right now), get the info you need, and explain to them all that stuff.
Would you also like to be in charge of a weapon shop/smithy concept? Infact, that's a better idea than a weapon shop. We could do a weapon smithy where, for a price and ingredients, the player can upgrade their weapon, giving it elemental attributes, enchanments and stuff.

I like that idea So will the smiths be separate from the pkmn centres? And can people change their weapons there?

Using fists or body as a weapon should be handles like Chrono Trigger. They grow stronger as you use them alot. However since you are using your own body hitting things alot would do owies. So the hp in the hands, teeth, claws or whatever should work as well. ^^ Ans as FC suggested via the pm I got about Fluffy instead of a blacksmith for 'warriors' like that they can just heal when they sleep at a pokemon center. It still works.

I wasnt too sure about it, but it made the most sense to me The thing i'm worried about is about the chance of Fluffy someday having to face a warrior with her bare claws. I doubt that blacksmiths can enchant claws or teeth, or apply an elemental affinity to them. :S I guess this concerns all future cat people too...

I suggest that when attacking without a weapon(Fist, claws, kicks), there will be no penalty, but when guarding with a non-weapon, you will take HP damage instead. Unless, of course, you want to have a limit to how many times you can punch until your hand breaks.
Resting at a Pokemon center recovers all HP and Whp would probably be fine too. But the only place you can upgrade them is at the smithy. Which will probably be in the "others" board.
