In all honesty I think this is an impossible question as I have many favorites. Some of them include: Super Mario RPG (SNES) Final Fantasy VII (PS1) Smash Bros. Series (Nintendo) Pokemon (Game Boy) Loz: Link to the Past, Bes Zelda game EVER! (SNES) Castlevania Series (Konami)

Sonic '06 (go away trolls >.<) No worries, as I've never played that one. So you got all the "new" Sonics here, what about the old ones? Sonic, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles? And Rayman? Good choice. I don't hear that one too often.

A select few of the oldies were good... Sonic 1... Sonic 2... Sonic the fighters... Sonic R... the other ones though, i don't see why people like 'em so much.

And this is where the standard "Old Sonic VS New Sonic" fan fights occur. I suppose (aside from personal preference) it all comes down to which ones you grew up with. I won't get into that though as I am a Mario fan!

lol.
I have the odd mindset that sonic 2 on the Sega was easier than on the collections game. I swear I could beat that game when I used to babysit and they had it, but I have yet to beat the mega collection one.
I'm not going soft!

i know the feeling - when you rule at something, then you try a sequal or updated version and it seems to kick your butt

Klonoa is an underappreciated game. Very easy, be pleasing to the eyes.
